CLAIM FOR DAMAGES

DECISION RESERVED. The case in which Gertrude May Bradlev claimed £llOO damages from the Bell Bus. Company for injuries received in a bus accident on the Hutt Road last December concluded before Mr. Justice MacGregor in the Supreme Court yesterday. Mr' P J. O’Regan appeared for the plaintifl and Air. P. B. Cooke, with him Mr. R. C. Christie, for the defendant company. . - ■ Mr Cooke submitted that there was no evidence of any tickets or butts having been found upon the floor of the bus after the accident had happened; also, no experienced driver would have endeavoured to pick up anything from the floor of the bus while it was in motion. O’Callagban, who was driving the bus, had suffered from a syncopal attack, which had caused him practically to lose consciousness for several seconds. His Honour, reserved his decision.
