Mr. J. O’Meara has returned to Opotiki after a visit to Wanganui. Mr. B. B. Creagh, of Napier, is on a visit to Auckland.
Colonel Cunningham has left Waipukurau for Wanganui. Mr. J. G, Hewitt, S.M., of Marton, was a recent visitor to Dannevirke. Dr. J. M. Cole intends leaving Wailii shortly to tour England and the Continent. While there he will further his professional knowledge. Mr. T. Power and his son and daughter have returned to Takapau after spending a holiday in the South Island. , The Rev. Gosnell, Methodist Minister, is paying a visit to Greytown. Mr. L. C. Travers, who some years ago was on the staff of Messrs. Pursers, Ltd., is .rejoining that firm again as manager for the Wanganui business. Since leaving Wanganui Mr. Travers has held managing positions with the Scoullar, Company at Masterton, and Tonsoil, Garlick’s at Auckland. The appointment of Mr. Travers to this position will relieve Mr P. Higginbottom, the managing director, and in future the latter will devote his attention to head office matters and the supervision of the firm’s branches. Mr. W. Hutchens has been re-elected hon. conductor of the Wanganui Orchestral Society. TO LADIES.
