COMMERCIAL TRAVELLERS’ CHOIR

4 ANNUAL MEETING. The annual meeting of the Commercial Travellers’ Choir was held last Friday. There was a large number of members present, Mr. 11. Wright (the president) presiding. The report ami balance-sheet showed that the choir was in a sound financial position, one feature being that there were no outstanding subscriptions. The report stated that this gratifying result was due iu a very large measure to the splendid work done by the hon. treasurer, Mr. M. S. Galloway. In addition to the three subscription concerts, the choir gave performances for several charitable institutions, the most notable being for the Masterton Plunket Society. On this occasion the choir travelled to Masterton nt th»ir own expense one week-end, the result being that the Plnuket Society’s funds were considerably benefited.
