LIBRARIANS’ PRAISE

FOR WORK OF MR. H. BAILLIE. “Mr. Baillie, you have our thanks, you have our good wishes.” With these words Mr. J. J. Clark, chairman of the Librarians’ Conference, at Christchurch, addressed Mr. H. Baillie, the secretary, on Thursday on the eve of his retirement from the chief executive position of the Wellington Public Library, states the “Lyttelton Times.” . Members of the conference were high in their praice and appreciation of Mr. Baillie’s work, and most of the forty delegates present had something to say of their associations with Mr. Baillie. It was said that he had been a kind friend of all the new and vounger librarians of the Dominion, and he always gave his assistance when required.
