0 MIRAMAR CLUB ANNUAL MEETING The annual meeting of the Miramar Golf Club last evening was attended by about fifty members. Mr. A. E. Mubin presided. The report stated that at the close of the year therp were 244 ordinary members in the men’s club, and 160 in the ladies’ club, while the mid-week, country, non-playing, and absent, and junior members numbered 187. The accounts showed a credit of X 343 10s. on the year’s working. During the year debentures to the amount of X2OO were paid off. Owing to the congestion occurring on the starting tecs on Saturday and Sunday mornings, the committee had inaugurated the starting time-sheet system, and the result had been eminently satisfactory. Mr. A. Erskine said that in 1923 the green fees totalled X 240, in 1924 X 266, in 1925 X2BS, in 1926 X 364, and in 1927 X 391. He said that this was due not only to the fact that Miramar was easily accessible, but that owing to their excellent playing condition, the links were gaining in popularity year by year. The following officers were elected:— Patron, His Excellency the GovernorGeneral. Sir Charles _ Fergusson; president, Mr. A. E. Mabin; vice-presidents, Mr. L. D. Hurst and Mr. G. W. Magnus; captain, Mr. M. J. Crombip; committee, Messrs. M. Burnett, C. M. Bowden, S. Gambrill, A. Marsden, G. Stamp-Taylor; auditor, Mr. E. A. Liddle. WELLINGTON CLUB CHAMPION. SHIP. The second round of the Wellington Club championship was played at Heretaunga during the week-end, with the following result: A. D. S. Duncan beat M. Duncan, 9 and 7; K. D. Dunean beat R. O. Chesney, 2 and 1; E. O. Hales beat D. O. Whyte, 6 and 5; I. Mac Ewan beat J. B. Parker, 4 and 3. 'The junior championship was won by F. A. L. Hunt, who beat Dr. W. H. Simpson. AMERICAN SOUTH CENTRAL OPEN CHAMPIONSHIP. (Rec. February 13, 8.15 p.m.) New York, February 12. The South Central open golf championship was won by Smith, with 283. Kirkwood withdrew.
