CONDENSED CORRESPONDENCE
A. R. Alills. Waipawa. discussing the question of whether Messrs. Alonerieff and Hood actually reached New Zealand in their recent Tasman flight, suggests that some form of official inquiry should be held whereby the actual -facts could be sifted and a genera] pronouncement made. "If,” adds the correspondent, “it is established on evidence that, the aviators met with a mishap between Australia aud New Zealand, then let us all credit these two brave men with having made a gallant, attempt. If it can be proved that they actually reached these shores then to them should fall the honour of being the pioneers in connecting Australia and New Zealand by air, and something could be done to record the fact permanently.”
