DISASTROUS FIRES
AT CAPETOWN COLD STORES BY TELEGBAhH,—PRESS ASSOCIATION. Copyright. (Rec. February 12, 5.5 p.tn.) Cape Town, February 11. A disastrous lire, involving half a million sterling, destroyed the greater part of the Imperial Cold Storage premises on the seafront. Butter, margarine, and bacon fed the flames. Firemen battled with the ammonia fumes. Fortunately' the ammonia was disconnected in the early stages, and spare tubes removed. Adjoining new buildings were not affected. The company states that it will restart operations on Monday.
