ROYAL MUMMIES

RETURN TO ORIGINAL TOMBS PROPOSED London, February 8. The Cairo correspondent of “The Tinies” says that the reinterment of all Royal mummies in their own sarcophagi and their return to their original tombs is the proposal which the ex-Cabmet Minister, Ismail Sidey Pasha, has submitted to Parliament. He says that completed scientific results of disin terring mummies have been completed. Further exposure merely panders to vulgar public curiosity, especially of foreign tourists. No other nation would dream of allowing the exhibition of roval remains. It is also not in accord with the practice of the ancient Egyptians, who employed every precaution to insure respect to the dead.“The Times.”
