“We’ll soon want a ship to take the old number plates out to sea,” said (Mr. F. R. Flatman, at the last meeting of the Geraldine County Council, when speaking on the question of the Government changing the motor vehicle plates each vear (states the Timaru "Herald”). He considered that it was a great waste of public money, and that something should be done to make the same plates do for a number of years.
