SUPERANNUATION

PUBLIC SERVICE BOARD The quarterly meeting of the Public Service Superannuation Board was held on Thursday, Mr. J. W. Macdonald presiding. Twenty-eight contributors, retired by reason of age or length of service, were granted allowances of a total of £5979 per annum ; and six contributors retired as medically unfit were granted allowances totalling £594 per annum. Eighteen widows and sixteen children were granted the statutory allowances, amounting to £974 per annum. Consideration of two cases was postponed for further medical evidence, and of one case for medical re-examina-tion one vear hence.
