VERDICT OF SUICIDE

MARRIED MAN’S DEATH. Dominion Special Service. Auckland, February 10. An inquest on the body found yesterday under the Onehunga Wharf was lield this morning by the Coroner (Mr. Sutherland). . Tile deceased was identified as Enoch Edward Morgan, of Hamilton. The widow of deceased deposed that Morgan was 42 years of age and had two children aged six years and three years respectively. lie resigned troin the Post and Telegraph Department last August. Since then he had been travelling for business firms. He left his home in Hamilton on January 31, stating he was going to Tluntly. Blie had not heard from him since, but in a letter to his sister written from Devonport he said: “I am up against it in every way. I have been a tool, but try to think of me as ,kindly ns you can. . . (Signed) E.M. ’ Sirs. Slorgan also stated that her husband was in financial difficulties, bin was a teetotaller and had never shown suicidal tendencies. A verdict that Morgan committed suicide while in a depressed state of mind was returned by the Coroner.
