ADVERTISING CLUB
FORMED IN WELLINGTON Formation ol an advertising club in Wellington was decided upon by a meeting of those interested yesterday. Mr. H. Beckett explained briefly the character and scope of the proposed institution, which, he said, was to be established on broad lines, free from anything of a parochial nature. Mr. A. H. Messenger, who acted as chairman, spoke of the good results achieved by the Auckland Advertising Club, which included among its members people interested in every form of advertising work, from commercial designing to window dressing. Great interest was taken in the movement in Auckland, and he felt sure there Was sufficient enthusiasm in the Capital Citv to ensure the success of the scheme. After general discussion it was decided io proceed at once with the formation of the club, a committee being appointed to arrange details and to prepare for a further meeting at. which the complete organisation will be launched.
