Even milkmen are finding the earwigs a great nuisance (remarks the Christ church “Sun”). One vendor said that during the past few months his rounds have taken nearly twice as long as usual. Cans that are left out overnight. he said, are “alive” with the pest when he lifts the lid. and considerable time is spent in cleaning out billies that are left on doorsteps. Earwigs swarm in some billies.
