The Parliamentary Committee of opponents of greyhound racing decided last night to introduce in Parliament a Bill empowering the local authorities to veto the construction of tracks for such racing in their areas, ano a deputation was appointed to wait on th« Home Secretary regarding his statement last session that if inquiry showeo that juvenile betting on greyhounds existed and his present powers were inadequate, he would seek fresh powers to deal with the evil. The Bill to legalise installations of totalisators on British racecourses, to be introduced in the House of Commons on Friday, limits its application to grounds used for horseracing, and takes no account ot the existence of greyhound racing tracks British Official Wireless.
