ESTIMATED AT FOUR MILLIONS

New York, February 7. A Labour Bureau group of statistical research workers connected with labour unions here announce its estimate that four milliiini pprsonssate jnifiin.illny.ell 111 the United States to-day, or 10 per cent, of those gainfully employed. The bureau claims that the situation is serious and merits investigation. The figure have no official authorisation. It is interesting to note that Governor Smith has begun an investigation of the unemployed position covering the whole of the New York State.
