NEW TRAWLER TO OPERATE
A new firm has been formed in Wellington as a result of a merger between the Citv Fish Supply Company and Messrs. 'Sandfords Ltd., and operations will be carried on locally for the supply of fish to both Wellington and Auckland. This new concern, which will trade locally under the name of Sandfords Ltd., is called into being by Air. Sandford after an investigation of the conditions of the Wellington fishing industry. The James Cosgrove, a trawler now operating in Auckland, is to be surveyed and dispatched to Wellington to trade off this coast. Also, the new firm is stated to be taking the whole catch of the Island Bav fishermen. No contracts have been arranged yet, but it is reported that no limitation will be placed on the catch.
