ROAD IN TAITA GORGE
GOVERNMENT ASKED TO STATE INTENTIONS. The City and Suburban Highways Board yesterday decided to ask the Government to state its intentions regarding the bad lengths of the Main Hutt Roadwav lying between the length sur-fnco-spalcd bv Iho Hut I County Council and the permanent paving to tlie north, and that if an undertaking was given that the road would not be interfered with for a period of two years, the board would proceed to surfaec-scal it.
