MANAWATU A. AND P. ASSOCIATION
COMMITTEE MEETING. Palmerston North, February 7. Mr. L. H. Collinson presided over to-day’s meeting of the Manawatu and West Coast Agricultural and Pastoral Association’s Management Committee which was held in the association’s offices. Mr. R. L. C. Aitchison’s resignation from the committee was accepted with regret, the secretary being instructed to write to Mr. Aitchison thanking him for his past services on behalf of the association.
The secretary of the Hawke’s Bay A. and P. Association wrote advising that the date of his association’s autumn show was March 14 and not March 17, as previously advised. February 21 was agreed upon as a suitable date for the conference with representatives of the Royal Agricultural Society to consider the holding of a Royal Show in Palmerston North Accounts totalling £547 13s. 10d. were passed for payment. Plans for the proposed entertainment hall, ladies’ rest hall and Phinket room were approved, and after being discussed in committee it was decided that tenders be called for the erection of the buildings and referred to the Finance Committee.
