Marton, February 7. At the annual meeting of the Marton Chamber of Commerce a very satisfactory position was disclosed, the annual report pointing out that business and town interests had been well looked utter. The election of officers for the ensuing year resulted as follows: —President, Mr. G. B. Gregory; vice-president, Mr. J. A. Bush; executive, Messrs. J. Mogridge, A. 0. Scott and T. Barton (retailers), and Messrs. F. R. H. Brice, H. Y. Cameron, 11. H. Richardson, F. J. Christensen, and LI. C. Date; hon. secretary, Mr. W. L. Ayusley; hon. treasurer, Mr. G. B. Gregory; hon. auditor, Mr. 11. 11. Richardson.

The balance-sheet ot the recent park lighting queen carnival, held in Marton, shewed that the total sum raised was £3(18 2s. Id., while the expenditure was £Bl 2s. Id., leaving available for distribution 4:227. The cost of the park lights will be about .£l6O. and the remainder will be given to the athletic club and swimming club at a ratio of 75 per cent, and 25 per cent, respectively. Prior to his departing' to take op duties in Stratford, the Rev. Father McLaughlin was presented with a well-filled wallet by parishioners in Marton.
