A British Official Wireless message says that it is officially announced that the Earl of Stradbroke has been appointed Parliamentary Secretary to the Ministry of Agriculture in succession to Lord Bledisloe, who has resigned. The Earl of Stradbroke is keenly interested in agriculture and owns about 10,000 acres of land. He was Governor of Victoria from 1920 to 1926.
The Mayor of Upper Hutt, Mr. P. Robertson,' will represent the borough at the annual conference of delegates to the ».w Zealand Municipal Association, to be held at Nelson on March 14.
