The people of Matlock, a mountain resort in Derbyshire, are requesting other spas to co-operate in a petition to the authorities to forbid broadcasting for one month to test its effects on the weather. There is a growing conviction bv many health resorts that the plienomenalllv rainv weather for the past thirteen months is dug to wireless. It is pointed out that many early mornings are fine and rain frequently begins w’th the wireless programmes, and gets worse in the afternoon and evening as broadcasting increases.
