MAGISTRATE’S COURT
POLICE CASES.
In the Magistrate’s Court yesterday, Frederick Reginald Walker, aged 43, was fined £l, the amount of his bail, for bis second offence of drunkenness. Janies Russel], i.ged (15, who admitted being found by right without lawful excuse, but in circumstances not disclosing the intent to commit any other offence, in an enclosed yard in Wakefield Street, was convicted, and ordered to come up for sentence when called upon within three months. It was stated by Sub-Inspector Harvey that accused, who had been drinking, had wandered into the yard nd fallen asleep.
William Emery, a ship’s fireman, aged 37, who appeared brfore Mr. W. G. Rid dell, S.M., was lined ,£2. in default seven days’ imprisinment, for resisting Constable Strawbridge during the execu tion of his duty, and £1 for behaving in a disorderly manner in Manners Street. Accused was -mvicted and discharged for assaulting Martin Pollock Fraser.
