AUSTRALIAN TEAM’S VISIT ARRANGEMENTS FOR WELLINGTON MATCH Arrangements for the match between the Australian team and the Wellington eleven were completed at the meeting of the Management Committee of the Wellington Cricket Association last night. The New Zealand Cricket Council advised that the Australian team would arrive from Sydney on February 14, and proceed to Nelson the same evening. After p’aying a match against Nelson on the Wednesday and Thursday, the team would return to Wellington on February 17, and play Wellington at the Basin Reserve on February 17, 18, and 20. The chairman (Mr. C. G. Wilson) explained that the Mayor (Mr. G. A. Troup) had agreed to extend a civic reception to the Australian team on the afternoon of February 14. Arrangements for the entertainment of the visitors during their stay in Wellington were completed. The Australian team will take up their headquarters nt the Grand Hotel. It was decided to erect an additional score-board on the eastern side of the Basin Reserve for the Australian match. Match with Hawke's Bay. The Hawke’s Bay Association asked that Wellington junior representative team should be sent to Napier this season. The chairman explained that Air. H. M. McGirr was taking a Wellington senior team to play matches at Napier and Hastings at Easter time . The matter was .eferred to the Junior Committee. ' JUNIOR CHAMPIONSHIP.
