Owing to the high cost of operation, the New South Wales Railway Commissioners have decided to cease working two suburban and the Maitland and Broken Hill steam tramways. The cost of electrification be so beavv that it is not intended to replace the lines. Residents of the districts affected are making' a great. outcry against the Commissioners’ decision.
