FREEZING WORKERS’ DISPUTE

MEN ASK LEADERS TO EXPLAIN THEMSELVES Bv Teleguaph.—Pbess Association. Hastings, December 9. At a meeting of freezing workers last night to discuss the question of the relationship between the unionists and such voluntary labour as was still- employed at two of the works, the Alliance of Labour officials were freely criticised on their conduct of the recent dispute, and a motion of no confidence in them was carried. It was also decided to ask Mr, G. Roberts and Mr. L. Glover, of the Alliance of Labour, to come to Hastings to explain their actions.

The matter of working voluntary labour was referred to a committe, and it is- hoped that a settlement will be arrived at by the volunteers joining the union.
