, PRORGESS LEAGUE FAVOURS ELECTRIFICATION. Dominion Special. Christchurch, December 9. An 1 adverse report on the tunnel road project prepared by Mr. P. R. Climie. organiser of the Canterbury Progress League, was received by the executive of the league last night, The executive appointed a sub-committee to investigate tho report, and authorised ft to confer, if it thought such a course necessary, with tlie port and city committee, which is iwsponsible for the scheme. At a later stage, the meeting adopted the following recommendations front tho special committee which was appointed to report on the year’s york: (1) That I tho league supports (he policy of electrifying tho Lyttelton-Christchurch railway. and (2) that tho league should do all in its power to expedite the work.
