At last night's meeting of the Auckland Anniversary Regatta Committee, tho mutter of a special prize for the champion speed boat was discussed at length, ft was stated that a number of highpowered boats were being built locally, and increased power was being installed in some of the competitors of previous years. Entries were expected from Wanganui, Napier, and Wellington. Eventually it was left to the Programme Committee to allot the prizemoney. but it was decided to notify the centres mentioned that such a race will be held, and that substantial prizemoney will be offered.
