BACK FROM ABROAD

Structural Engineer sou of Sir John Luke, M.P., who has returned to Wellington after an absence of some four years spent abroad. Mr. Luke visited Britain and the United States to gain further experience in his profession, and while in the former country was for some time with Messrs. Dormans Long and Co. (the contractors for the big bridge across Sydney Harbour). In the United States Mr. Luke joined the staff of the New York Central Railroad, and immediately prior to returning to New Zealand spent some time investigating reading problems.
