In point of numbers the choir is now near the JOO mark. At the last rehearsal under Mr H.'Temple White, the various chorusas were attacked with great enthusiasm. The tenor soloist on this occasion will be M.r Hubert Carter, who returned to the Dominion this week from the Old Country. In the United Kingdom during the last (Aghtcen months. Mr. Hubert Carter was engaged to sing at 160 concerts and oratorio performances The soprano will be Miss Naomi Whalley, of Palmerston North, who makes her debut on a Wellington platform on Saturday. Mr. Arthur Jordan, the English tenor, a few months ago. after hearing Miss Whalley sing, predicted a great future for her. Miss Mina Caldow. of Auckland, will be the contralto, and Mr. Wm.
