RAILWAY BUSES
FIRST SERVICE IN SOUTH ISLAND Dominion Special. Dunedin, December 8. The first railway road motor-bus service in tiie South Island will be instituted on Monday next with a service between Oamaru, Ngapara and Tokarahi. These outlying districts have hitherto been served by their own private buses, which have now been taken over by the Railway Department to bo used in place of the mixed trains. Goods traffic be'hn stations mentioned will now bo catered for by goods trains leaving Oamaru several days a week.
