LAWN TENNIS
WELLINGTON PUBLIC SCHOOLS ASSOCIATION. At the annual meeting of the Wellington Public School Lawn Tennis Association it was decided to hold the annual tournament next Saturday. The tournament is being divided into two seettona, a city section and a Miramar section. The teams representing the Eastern Hutt, Hutt Central, Northlands, Brooklyn Upper Hutt, Terrace, Johnsonville, Plimmerton, Te Aro, Newtown, Seatoun, Muritai, Petoue West, Petone Centra], and Wadestown will play in the city section: the girls to assemble at Brougham Hill Club courts (off Kent Terrace) and the bovs at the Wellington Club courts Palmer Street, both at 8 a.m. Bovs and girls comprising the teams from* Clyde Quay, Island Bay, Kelburn, Worser Bay. Kilbirnio, South Wellington, Miramar, Lyall Bay. Berhampore, Haitni and Thorndon, will assemble on the association courts at Miramar at 8 3 there is only one Saturday available before the schools close for their Christmas holidays the, management intend to push on the matches on the courts to the furthest possible limit, so as to lessen the inconvenience that may be occasioned to schoolfl through the necessity of letting children, still competing, off from school on one weekThe following were elected the officer* of the association for the ensuing vear: Patron, Mr. J. A. B. Sowe; president, Mr. W. J. Melodv; hon. secretary, Mr. F. H. Paul; hon. treasurer, Mr. H. Fisher: executive, Misses F. Hind, M. Pigou, J. Swap, and E. Williams, Messrs. E Harland, G. Simpson. E. Fossette, A. Kirk. W. B. Brown, and C. Robertson; general referee, Mr. W. E. Howe.
