Nominations are invited for the position of representative Maids of Honour from the following districts: 1— Lower Hutt s—lsland Bay Petone Berhampore Bastbourne 6—Newtown 2— Wadestown Melrose Thorndon 7 —Seatoun 3— Karori Miramar Kelburn B—City Highbury Mount Victoria Northland 9—Lvall Bay 4 — Brooklyn Rilbirnie Vogeltown 10—Ilataitai Mornington Roseneath 11—COUNTRY DISTRICTS. Each district will hold its own competition amongst those nominated for the position of Maid of Honour and from the eleven Maids of Honour thus elected one will be chosen as Queen Candidate of the Returned Soldiers’ Association. By this competition full opportunity will be given to take part in the Grand Military Tournament and to occupy the high honour of Queen thereof; 50 per cent, of all monies raised thereby will be receiver] by the Returned Soldiers’ Association and the balance by the Community Club and Regimental Funds. AU candidates are therefore assured that by their efforts they will be working for a worthy cause. Full particulars of the of the competition may be obtained from the office of the Returned Soldiers’ Aslociatioh, Featherston Street, Wellington. Nominations will close on Friday, December 17. at 5 p.m. The Wellington Returned Soldiers' Association invite the Ladies of Wellington and District to stand behind them.
