CYCLISTS INJURED
FALLS WHILE RACING. Dominion Special. Christchurch, December 4. Three cvclists were injured this afternoon at the English Park Stadium durin" the eight hours cycle race. Lt is the worst accident which lias happened there since the stadium was opened, tile injured men are W. T. Weir, right hip badly injured bruises and concussions; J Scruise (Australia), abrasions and bruises; W. J. Holland injuries to bead and face, bruises on the body and concussion. Holland was the most seriously injured and was unconscious for half an hour. All the men have been admitted to the Christchurch Hospital. Scruise fell twice, but the first time he was not hurt and remounted his machine. There were three spills altogether. The idcd fell on tli(? concrete and the speed at which, they were travelling added to their injuries. A section of the crowd demonstrated against the delay in removing Holland, who had to ' wait in a .semi-conscious condition for about 40 minutes owing to lack of ambulance facilities.
