INTER-CLUB MATCHES START HAWKES BAY DEFEAT WAIRARAPA It would have been impossible to better the weather conditious in Wellington oil Saturday, when a start was made on the Association tennis courts at Miramar with the interelub matches. Eight teams, representing eight different clubs, contested the first round of the senior grade. The most interesting matches of the day were the singles, L. France v. E. B Smyth, and D. France v. N. It. C. Wilson, and the doubles match, L. and D. France v. E. B. W. Smyth and N. R. C. Wilson. At Masterton a Hawke’s Bay representative team scored a win over a Wairarapa team.
