RIFLE SHOOTING
KARORI CLUB The Karori Rille Club fired the third match in theii' championship series on Saturday at 800 and MO yards. The weather conditions were favourable and the shooting was well above the average. An exceptionally fine performance was put up by Rifleman M. McWhirter, who, starting off with a possible at 800, followed on with 47 at 900, thus securing a total of 97 out of a possible of 100. The following are the details of the shooting t

OLD NAVALS’ CLUB The Old Naval Defence Bifle Club continued their programme at Trentham on Saturday, firing the last shoot of .the second series and S.R. aggregate, under ideal conditions. Rifleman E._ Franklyn ran out the winner of tile series with a good score of 255 points, all off the gun. Good range shooting was done by some of the members at 300 yards, Dep.-Piesi-dent Goldfinch, Bifleman Franklyn and Stevens each getting 47. Deputy-Presi-dent Mcßain and Rifleman Lawton were the best nt 600. each making 43. Rifleman C. Lawton got top score off the gun for the day, 46 at 300 and 43 at 600. President F. ■ SUBURBS CLUB The Suburbs Rifle Club continued its competitions at 500 and 6’oo yards, h. Mottram with 47 at 500 and S. J. White 47 at 600, put up the best single range scores. R. E. Hester, B. Wilson and S. J. White with 90 apiece had the best gun totals. The challenge badges were won by J. A. Bitter’s team with a total of 340 points (J. Smart 87, J. A. Bitters 85. T. Kidd 84, R.
