RAILWAY SUMMER TIME-TABLE
LOCAL ALTERATIONS Some interesting changes have been effected by the Railway Department’s summer timetable, which is to come into operation over the week-end. There will be the reintroduction of the Daylight Limited, which is to make its first trip to Auckland on Monday. For the convenience of Wairarapa residents an alteration has been made in the running of the passenger train from Woodville, which reaches Wellington at 6.53 p.m. This train will now leave Woodville at 12.10 p.m., and arrive at Wellington at 5.44 p.m. Arrangements have been made for an extra train' to leave Dannevirke at 4.50 p.m. and reach Palmerston North at 7.20 p.m. This train will connect with the Daylight Limited, which leaves Auckland at 7.53 a.in. and Palmerston North at 8.29 p.m. The train which has been leaving Wellington for Palmerston North at 8.55 a.m. will now leave at 10.17 a.m., in order to cope with consignments of live stock, etc., ex the steamer.
