CHURCH SERVICES

The Rev. W. Gray Dixon will be the preacher at St. John's Church, Willis Street, to-morrow. At the morning service he will take for the subject of his address, “The Original or the Caricature,” and at the evening service, “What is Life?" The anthems are: Morning, "Come, Holy Spirit,” and, evening, "How Lovely are Thy Dwellthe Vivian Street Baptist Church the Rev. J. J. North will preach in the morning on K Christian's Point of Honour," and in the evening on “The Significance of Temptation.” Holy Communion will be observed at the evening service _ The Rev. I?. J. Howie, 8.A., will occupy the pulpit at both rervices in St. Andrew’s Presbyterian Church, The Terrace, to-inorrow. The subject of the evening address is, "They Came to Kadeshbarnea.” The induction of elders will take place in the forenoon. At the people’s service at 7 p.m. at the Wesley Church. Taranaki Street, to-morrow, the subject of the auclroas will be. "The Education of the Conscience: An Urgent Need of To-day.’ An anthem will lie rendered by the choir and Holv Communion will bo held at the close of the service. The Rev. J. Bailey will be. the preacher both morning and evening. T3right service* will bo hold fo-mor r nw at the Sailors’ Friend Society in Whitmore Street. Mr. W. A. Brown will deliver the address in (he morning and Mr. Vivian in the evening, when the soloist will he Miss AT. Davies. The orchestra will lead a special song service at 8.36 p.m. . At the Terrace Coneregntio.ini Church the Rev. Ernest R. Week* will preach in the morning on "The Enthronement of Service.” and in the evening on "An Old Worl-i Story in Modern Life: Remember Balaam.” The Communion of the Lord’s Supper will innclnde the morning sorvico. Tho muaic is under the direction of Mr. Len Barnes. An address will be . delivered nt the Christadelnbian meeting in Victoria Hall. Adelaide Road, to-morrow nirht, on "The Thief on the Cross: The Thief’s Rooucst and Christ’s Answer.”' A cordial invitation is extended to all to hoar this address, and no collection will bo tnkon on.
