Read Conditions Carefully Competitors are required to send In a solution of the Picture Puzzle. Write In ink. on one side of paper only, and Mark Envelops No. 3 Competition. There is nothing unusual about the wording, and the sense of the sentence will guide you. Each of the letters, words, symbols, and illustrations In the Puzzle can he read to represent part of a word, one, two or three words, but not more tha-i three words. Solutions containing, alternatives will be disqualified. Each solution will be judged SEPARATELY on Its MERITS. The Directors have arranged that the solutions shall be referred to the Adjudication of Mr. Geo. W. Hutchison, of the firm of Messrs. Hutchison, Elliffe & Cameron, Public Accountants, Auckland. The First Prize of £5 0 will be awarded to the Competitor who complies with the conditions, and who sends in the solution which. In the opinion of the Adjudicator, boars the best interpretation of the figures, words, symbols, and illustrations comprising the Picture Puzzle. In the event of there being solutions which, in the opinion of the Adjudicator, are of equal merit, then the Directors reserve the right to divide one or more of the prizes. The decision of the Adjudicator must be accepted as final and binding in every respect, and entries are accepted on this express condition. Any number of attempts may be forwarded, but each attempt at a solution must be accompanied by a coupon. A half-pound box contains one coupon, a one-pound box contains two coupons, permitting two attempts, a twopound box four coupons, permitting four .attempts, and a four-pound box. permitting eight attempts, etc. If more than one attempt is rent, each must he signed, together with Full Postal Address. Employees of Segaars, Ltd., are not permitted to enter for this Competition. Prize-winners will be announced in the “N.Z. Herald” and “Auckland Star” on December 23. Solutions must be posted in time to reach our office not later than December 20, 1926, and addressed to The Manager, SEGAARS, LTD., 170 Queen Street (opposite H.M. Theatre), Auckland.
