Mr. A. King, of Hskvale, put up a record :n long-distance household fires a few days ago (reports the “Hawke's Dav Herald”). lie lit an open fire in his home and put on an olive log of quite average size. The log burned steadily for four days without cessation, which must, surely, be a unique performance.
