Evidently the Wellington Trotting Club is dissatisfied with the access provided to the Hutt Park racecourse by way of the Pipe bridge, for it has requested that this structure be widened The request was placed before the Works Committee of the City Council, mid on its recommendation was not acceded to by the council last night. The Citv Council decided last night that the erection of a concrete retaining wall in front of the Karori Tennis Club’s property at Main Kcrori Road be proceded with immediately, provided the cost of same doe? not exceed £l5O. .
