FORTNIGHTLY BOARD MRETING.. A meeting of the Hutt. Valley Electrie Power Board was held yesterday. The chairman, Mr. A. J. McCurdy, presided. A complaint that he had been charged * minimum of 7s. per month for P°^5 r » although a promise had been given that there would bo a minimum of 55., was received from C. Sloane, cf Porirua. The chairman stat-zl that no such promise had been macle. Mr. Windley said the basis of the whole trouble was that a promise of a ss. minimum . for small towns was made at a public meeting, and the board should honour its contract, even if it were only a verbal one. The complaint was referred to the Technical Committee. The engineer reported that the 6600-volt line and sub-station to supply Trentham camp, and the low tension lines to supply private consumers at Trentham. had been erected.
