NEW ZEALAND ABSCONDER
ARRESTED IN SYDNEY. (Rec. December 2, 9.50 p.m.) Sydney, December 2. Alfred Duncan, who arrived ns a stowaway from Newj Zealand, failed to pass the dictation test, and was sentenced to a month’s hard labour, pending his deportation to New Zealand. The police stated that Duncan had absconded from ; bail in New Zealand, where he was at aiting trial on charges of breaking and entering. -
