FRUIT CONTROL
DISFAVOURED 1N OTAGO. Dominion Special. Dunedi.l, December 2. Owing to continued cold weather and late hailstorms this season’s crop of stono fruit will be poor. Apples, however. should be fairly plentiful, and, aa shipments from Tasmania and Victoria will be light, should find a good export market. The majority of Otago fruitgrowers arc against any form of control of export fruit by the Government, and view with some perturbation tho proposal to bring this into effect. They are convinced that if they are left to their own devices thej* will find more satisfactory markets for their product.
