KNOCKING THE “STUNT” OUT OF FLYING (Rec. December 2, 9.5 p.m.) New York, December 1. Sir Alan Cobham and his wife will fly to Washington to-morrow in the Moth ’plane, and will be presented to President Coolidge by the British Embassy and officials of the National Geographic Society. At a luncheon of the Advertising Club Sir Alan Cobham, who was the guest of honour,, said: "We’ve got to knock the ‘stunt’ out of flying. Flying wants to be utilised where necessary, not where other forms of transportation are more practicable.” ’Planes similar to the Moth may be built for army and navy messenger work.
