JOY RIDERS

TWO CARS STOLEN ONE PARTLY BURNT Dominion Special. Christchurch, December 1. Joy riders are again active in Christchurch. Two cars have been stolen, one of which has been recovered after having been set alight in an attempt to destroy it. Mr. James Warnock’s car, a five-seat-er, was taken from Moorhouse Avenue on Monday evening, and was found last night in Graham’s Road, almost a total wreck. The battery, the self-starter, the carburettor, and several oths9 parts of the motor-car had been removed and then the car had been set alight. Another five-seater belonging to Mr D. J. Doak, was taken from the parking place in Cambridge Terrace last evening. To-day it was found in St. Asaph Street. No damag had been done to the car, but it had been taken for a long run The police are of the opinion that the same person or persons removed both the cars.
