KAMAHI ESTATE HOLIDAY CAMPING GROUNDS To draw the attention of the public to the natural advantages of this locality, the owner is prepared to allow camping parties, motor or otherwise, the sole right to camp on any unsold section, subject to payment of 10/- per week in advance. NOTE:—OWNER’S PERMISSION ABSOLUTELY ESSENTIAL. In order to avoid disappointment, intending campers should visit the Estate and secure their chosen site before the holidays. ALL NECESSARY SUPPLIES CAN BE OBTAINED FROM LOCAL TRADESMEN. Let us transport ourselves in fancy beyoud the confines of the City, and for a minute visualise this wonderful valley. . Surrounded by bush-clad hills, it presents a glorious sight as one turns off from the Main Hutt Road opposite Hayward’s. With its privacy, seclusion and peacefulness, it is ideally situated for the camper who seeks the freedom and freshness of country lanes after the restraint and hurry of city life. Well-formed,. level roads traverse The Kamahi Estate, and for those who enjoy a quiet walk each step reveals a panorama of glorious beauty which would inspire the poet to verse and the musician to song. Between banks fringed with a wealth of native flora, a cool inviting stream meanders through bush and meadow, and incidentally gives to the lovely week-end cottages a pure water supply. A climb to the top of the hills reveals a scene Northwards of rugged beauty; away beyond the Wainui-o-Mata i Valley the mighty Rimutakas pierce the clouds. Turning , Southwards we see away in the distance the shimmering blue of Cook Strait, and beyond the beautiful Kaikouras. Looking down on the Kamahi Estate your eyes drink in its wondrous beauty, and slowly you wend your way into ■. the valley again. To return to the practical again, the Kamahi Estate ’ is within an hour's motor run of the City, and for almost | the whole way over bitumen roads. Those who are not motor-car owners can reach the Estate by bus, which makes six trips daily from town. Should this appeal to you, write to or come and see the owner, who lives on the Estate in Kamahi Road, second house on right, who will give you every assistance in choosing a site for camp.
