MAGISTRATE DISMISSES INFORMATION. Dominion Special. Auckland, December 1. A case in which a man was charged with failing to pay his tram fare was dismissed in short order by Mr. F. K. Hunt, S.M., this morning. The conductor stated that defendant boarded an Onehunga bound tram nt tho foot of Queen Street. When informed that the fare to Onehunga was 4d., defendant said he was on the wrong tram; ho wanted to go to Ponsonby. The conductor asked him to pay a 2d. fare to Wellesley Street, where ho got off. "Oh. lie was on the wrong car," said Mr. Hunt, "I’m not going to convict him for that. Get away, dismissed!"
