Late yesterday afternoon a man's body wag discovered in tho Waimakariri River bed, in the vicinity of Woodstock, by a farmer, and it was removed to Oxford to-day. 'The remains are believed to be those of John S. Shannon, whose parents reside at Rakaia, and who was one of the victims of the raft accident on the Waimakariri River last August, when G. N. Carrington lost his life.
