POISONED HIMSELF

SUICIDE AT PETONE. A married man, Percival Wilton Cuttie, employed by tne Hutt Valley Electric Power Board, and living at 16 Bridge Street, Lower Hutt, was found by his wife at 7 a.m. yesterday lying on the floor of a garage on his premises in a dying condition. Dr. Nash, of Lower Hutt, treated the patient for poisoning, but. in spite of his efforts, Curtis died at 9 a.m. It is understood that be had risen earlier than usual, and had informed his wife that he was going to work in the garden. When his wife rose later and discovered that deceased was not in the house, she made a search. An inquest wag held before Mr. J. IT. Fallon, who found that deceased died from the effects of poison, self-adminis-tered. The evidence showed that deceased had been la a state of ill-health for some time past.
