DAMAGED LINER AYRSHIRE
LUPIN’S TOW TE.MPORARILY ABANDONED. Colombo, November 30. H.M.S. Lupin’s attempt to tow the liner Arvshire, which caught fire near Colombo', has been temporarily abandoned owing to a jammed rudder. Ihe sloop is standing bv till the fire aft is further subdued, when the rudder may be free The forepart of the ship was examined, and some cargo jettisoned.
